Despite the cold, I decided to work on MMC from 1326m.
Result: 76 QSO, with average 528km.
I heard OE6, OL, OK1, OK2, I stations, but they were just CQing to other direction. Other stations, in abt. 50km distance from those, still reported 599+ for my signal strength.
The most important equipment was the oil radiator. During entire contest, the top of the hill was in a cloud, 6-8C during day and 0-2C during night.
I used WIN-TEST on VHF 1st time. Not bad, but I was missing the ATALANTA LOCATOR's good call sign and locator guessing function.
Since my MarkV and transverter was under repair, I used the bare FT847+PA. Knowing the poor RX performance of FT847, I was affraid of strong signals, but nothing drove over the RX. Last contest, 2 YU statitons had large signal, but on this contest those stations had clean signals.
